The Last of Us 2 es el juego más nominado de los Game Awards 2020 con 10 nominaciones
The Game Awards ya cuenta con sus nominados confirmados para su edición 2020. En total son más de 20 categorías diferentes, y de todos los juegos presentes el que más destaca en números es The Last of Us Part II, con 10 nominaciones en total, incluyendo Juego del Año. En dicha categoría el juego de Naughty Dog comparte lugar con otros 5 títulos más: Animal Crossing: New Horizons, DOOM Eternal, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Ghost of Tsushima y Hades.
No obstante, destaca la gran ausencia de uno de los títulos más importantes y revolucionarios del año. Hablamos de Half-Life: Alyx, que si bien está nominado en 4 categorías, no llegó a ocupar un lugar en la más importante. Otro hecho a destacar es la inclusión de Among Us, el popular juego de móviles que se lanzó en 2018, y no en 2020. Sin embargo, ha sido considerado para esta ocasión debido al gran boom que ha tenido en este último año.
